Summer School 2018: Identity and Belonging: An Examination of the Migrants and Refugee's relationship to Their Host Country.
The 2018 summer school held in conjunction with The Masters specialization Peace, Trauma, and Religion and the Institute for Peace Church Theology in Hamburg covered a variety of questions relating to the refugee's and migrant's relationship to their host country. Specifically, it focused on: What are the responsibilities of the host to the migrant or refugee so that they feel they belong? What exactly does it mean for a migrant or refugee to belong in their host country? The course involved guest lecturers, workshops, and excursions to important sites of migration in Amsterdam.
